Thought Process: When designing the layouts, I start by analyzing the tone and content of each article to guide the visual direction. I consider typography, color, and imagery to create a layout that enhances the story while maintaining consistency with the magazine’s aesthetic. Collaboration with writers, illustrators, and photographers is key to building cohesive, engaging spreads that bring each feature to life.

Assignment: Collaborate with creative team to design innovative layouts and highlight local food businesses through magazine spreads.

What is Baked? Baked Magazine is a student-run publication at Syracuse University that showcases local food spots and the latest culinary trends. As a member of the design team, I transform articles, illustrations, and photos into cohesive, visually engaging spreads for the magazine.
